The Gardens

Here at Hampton Court Castle we are fortunate enough to have our own formal gardens and the most stunning forestry backdrop, with panoramic views of the Herefordshire countryside. You’ll feel like you’ve escaped from hectic daily life to a rural, tranquil retreat, within touching distance of the city of Hereford. The gardens, surrounded by original Victorian walls, are the perfect place to explore during your wedding day, for a quiet moment and to capture some memorable wedding photographs.

Within the grounds you'll find the lake, ample water features, bridges leading to island pavilions, a yew tree maze with medieval maze tower at the centre, rose garden and the most romantic of all, the sunken garden where you’ll find the waterfall beyond cascading stepping stones. The 150 year old Wisteria Arch is another highlight, caught in flower during May-June, this is a must-have photo opportunity for those Spring/Summer brides. As well as the gardens, there is ample outdoor space for you to relax outside with your guests.

"I never dreamed I would have such a beautiful venue, it really was like a fairy tale"
